On Saturday, 16 July 2011, NASA’s Dawn probe entered onto orbit about asteroid 4 Vesta.
“… an incredible exploration milestone as a spacecraft enters orbit around an object in the main asteroid belt for the first time,” declared NASA Administrator Charles Bolden.
